How it works...
Lasers emit a highly concentrated laser pulse into the hair follicles. That energy converts to heat which is absorbed by the hair, damaging its chromophores (aka melanin or pigment) and inhibiting future hair growth.

Pre-Treatment
4 weeks before
No waxing, tweezing, threading, or depilatory creams — follicle must be intact
2 weeks before
Strictly avoid sun exposure, self-tanners, and spray tans
3 days before
Stop retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, and benzoyl peroxide on treatment area
24 hrs before
Shave the treatment area
Disclose
HSV history, photosensitizing medications (antibiotics, Accutane), pregnancy or breastfeeding, keloid scarring, active skin conditions
During Treatment
Expect
Laser energy targeting hair follicles across treatment area
Normal side effects
Mild sunburn sensation, redness, slight follicle swelling — resolves within hours
Immediately after
Cold compress or wrapped ice pack to treated area — no products yet
Treatment series
6–8 sessions spaced 4–8 weeks apart for optimal results. Darker, coarser hair responds best. Gradual reduction with each session.
Post Treatment
24–48 hrs
No hot showers, saunas, or exercise. No makeup, deodorant, or perfumed products on treated area. Do not scratch or pick.
1–2 weeks
SPF 30+ if sun exposure unavoidable. No waxing, tweezing, or threading — shaving is fine. Avoid AHAs, BHAs, and retinols until healed.
Hair shedding
Treated hairs may appear to "grow" then shed over 1–3 weeks — this is normal. Do not pick or pull.
