Lasers emit a highly concentrated laser pulse into the hair follicles. That energy converts to heat which is absorbed by the hair, damaging its chromophores (aka melanin or pigment) and inhibiting future hair growth.

Hair begins to fall out around 2 weeks after your treatment, but it's very important to complete the recommended amount of treatments for optimal results. Laser hair removal generally requires 5-10 treatments depending on hair growth, hair type and color, and the area of removal. Appointments should be spaced about 4 weeks apart for face and 6 weeks apart for body.

While laser hair removal isn't a 100% permanent solution, it will significantly reduce future hair growth in treated areas. Hair that returns will be sparse, thinner and possibly lighter. For best results, we recommend maintenance treatments once or twice a year, depending on how your hair responds.

While there's no downtime associated with laser hair removal, you may experience some redness afterward. We recommend you stay out of the sun for two weeks before treatment and one week after.

Laser hair removal isn't painful. It feels a bit like snapping a rubber band against your skin. We can apply a topical numbing cream before your treatment if you're concerned. And if needed, we may apply an ice pack after your treatment to cool and comfort skin.
